Idea: KbFails

Karl just mentioned a scene from Gattaca where the director says: “Not one error in a million keystrokes. Phenomenal.”

That would be fun to measure IRL. A small service that counts keystrokes and deletes, giving you some kind of error/keystrokes count. It could track over days and give you a little graph, if you’re trying to improve. It’s always running so it doesn’t matter if you’re writing in Facebook or Visual Studio. Sure, you could try to make it advanced and discover “cheats” such as selecting a paragraph so only one delete-press is needed, but would that make the app more or less fun? 🙂
